Paradise Datacom chose BlueCat® Linux® as the operating system (OS) that would support the advanced IP-connectivity needs of its satellite data modems. Paradise required a stable, commercial-grade OS and the ability to easily integrate third-party software into the design of its modems. Additionally, Paradise will be able to run its Linux application code unmodified on the LynxOS® real-time operating system (RTOS) with no costly or lengthy porting process, should real-time ever become a requirement during future development.
