Oslo - Jan. 31, 2005 - Opera Software ASA and LynuxWorks™, a leading provider in the embedded software industry, today announced that the Opera browser will be an available option with LynuxWorks' BlueCat® Linux® embedded operating system. The two companies have entered into a reseller agreement, allowing LynuxWorks to resell the Opera browser to its customers as an available option to its BlueCat Linux solutions package.

LynuxWorks' BlueCat Linux is used in embedded systems ranging from small consumer-type devices to large-scale, multi-CPU systems. As a result, users can experience cutting-edge embedded operating system coupled with the fast, full-featured Opera browser.
LynuxWorks has long used the Opera browser to display LynuxWorks' Linux ABI capability on its flagship LynxOS® real-time operating system (RTOS) by recompiling Linux code on LynxOS and displaying it with the Opera browser. With this announcement, LynuxWorks and Opera Software will now extend browser support to LynuxWorks' BlueCat Linux.
