MIL-STD-1553

The MIL-STD-1553 standard was first published as an Air Force standard in 1973 to define certain data bus requirements for information transfer. The MIL-STD-1553 data bus continues to be used heavily today in mission-critical systems, such as in avionics.

MIL-STD-1553 compliant hardware is available for LynuxWorks™ operating systems. Designers of aerospace and defense systems have looked to LynuxWorks for over 20 years for the uncompromising security and reliability that their applications require.
