The Kontron PENTXM2 is powered by a 1.67 GHz dual-core Intel Xeon processor featuring a 667 MHz front side bus, two MB of L2 cache per core and up to 6.4 GB/s throughput access to up to 4 GB of DDR2-SDRAM.

Enhanced I/O support

The Kontron PENTXM2 is the first SBC which features PCI-Express connectivity: x8 link on the standard XMC mezzanine slot and x4 link on an improved-performance standard P0 connector.

The Kontron PENTXM2 supports the safety-critical LynxOS-178 RTOS, Redhat Linux 2.6 and an extensive Build-In-Test software suite. It is scheduled to be available in both standard air-cooled and rugged conduction-cooled builds.
