The BSQUARE DevkitIDP is an integrated development platform based on the Intel® PXA255 Applications Processor. The DevkitIDP combines the high performance and power efficiencies of the XScale™ Microarchitecture with the functionality and flexibility of proven Windows CE platform code. The DevkitIDP is ideal for companies creating Intel PXA255-based smart devices for the consumer, retail, gaming, industrial and medical markets.

Easy access to components

Developers will appreciate the BSQUARE DevkitIDP layout which offers easy access
to components, power supply monitoring points and grounding points for test
probes. The development platform includes an integrated LCD display, touch
panel, and keyboard. It also provides Ethernet connectivity and a JTAG connector
as well as multiple ports for use in application development.

Wide array of peripherals

The DevkitIDP platform includes an impressive array of on-board hardware
peripherals. It offers multiple expansion connectors to integrate and test various
hardware components. The DevkitIDP also offers developers integrated power
management functionality. It provides a stable environment for application development
and testing.

Multiple expansion buses

The DevkitIDP is designed with three expansion buses making it ideal for
developing peripheral cards. The platform can be used not only as a development
platform but also as a test bed or demonstration platform. It also features
two PCMCIA slots or Compact Flash slots with an adapter. The platform also
supports USB host and function.

Production-quality software

The DevkitIDP ships with the following production-quality binary modules:

The bootloader supports Flash ROM updates from PCMCIA,
